On 26 March 2014, the Directorate General for Research and Innovation is holding a conference "The Ocean of Tomorrow projects: what results so far?"

This first conference will present early results of four ambitious and multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on understanding, mitigating and adapting to changes in the marine environment. Two projects dealing with the sustainable exploitation of marine biodiversity will also be showcased.

The event will include a panel discussion with high-level experts to take stock and to put forward their views concerning how marine and maritime research could be developed under Horizon 2020.
