Description:

The Human Brain Project (HPC) Summit is the main annual meeting and scientific conference of the HBP Consortium and its growing number of Partnering Projects.

12-15 Oct 2016

Organised by the Human Brain Project, the HBP Summit is a unique forum for the HBP Consortium and its Partnering Projects to come together to discuss science, present and learn about the latest scientific results and project achievements, develop new ideas, plan next steps, and network. The event consists of a 2 – 2.5 day interactive scientific programme consisting of plenaries, keynote presentations, hackathons, demos, scientific highlight sessions and cross disciplinary workshops.

The 4th Annual Summit will take place in Florence, Italy, from 12 to 15 October 2016. It will be hosted by Laboratorio Europeo di Spettroscopie Non Lineari (European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy; LENS), one of the key European institutions for light wave research, which has been a centre of excellence at the University of Florence since 1991.

For the first time this year, an ‘Open Day' is being added to the Summit programme, with the intention of encouraging dialogue and collaboration between the HBP, other scientific communities and the public.

Information about the Summit programme and the Open Day will be posted on the HBP website in the coming weeks.
