The EU Inside Out: a summer course unlike any other

With its exciting range of options and its setting in one of Europe’s greatest city's, KU Leuven’s EU summer course truly stands out from the crowd.During this two-week residential course jointly offered by the Faculties of ArtsEconomics & Business and Social Sciences you combine a 24-hour multi-disciplinary core component with two majors, chosen from a list of four: Law, Economic & Business, Policies & Politics and Social & Demographic Issues. The summer course includes two site visits to Brussels and two one-day weekend excursions. Depending on your preferences, you can also choose to write a paper for one or even both your chosen majors and so increase your earned ECTS points.Groups are encouraged to add a trip following the residential course, and we can help with such plans. One suggestion is to cover, in six days, six international institutions at The Hague, Luxembourg and Strasbourg. But Paris and London, or Cologne and Amsterdam, are just 1.5 or 2 hours away by train, so the options are many. Taking you to the heart of EuropeA distinctive asset is KU Leuven's closeness to EU institutions, both geographically and organisationally. Many of the star speakers (including the keynote speaker) are top professionals at EU institutions, and some sessions take place at EU institutions (e.g. the Commission, Parliament, the Council of the EU). From Leuven to Europe and backThe three organising Faculties have all accrued a wealth of experience at English-taught international master programmes and short-term courses. Leuven’s University, chartered in 1425, ranks respectively 58th and 82nd in the Times HE and QS World rankings. Last but not least the city of Leuven itself is an architectural, cultural and gastronomic delight, vibrantly alive 24/7, allowing you to fully appreciate the best of European lifestyle. For more information follow the link: http://www.econ.kuleuven.be/drc/AFI/misc/EUinsideout
