New opportunities for business environment

Along with grants offered through SME Instrument in Horizon 2020, European Commission has other opportunities in Programme COSME, in wich Moldovian institutions are fully eligible. Currently, there are two open calls under COSME: Statistics for Family Businesses and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. Bellow we offer you short descriptions and links to these calls:

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a mobility scheme that allows potential or newly established entrepreneurs to spend a period of time collaborating with an experienced entrepreneur in another participating country. These mobility actions aim to help the entrepreneurs enrich their experiences as well as learn and network with entrepreneurs in other participating countries. The aim of this call is to expand and strengthen the existing network of Intermediary Organisations which act as local contact points for newly established entrepreneurs as well as experienced entrepreneurs in the participating countries. The purpose of the call is to select bodies which will act as Intermediary Organisations (IOs) to implement the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme at local level. They will, in particular, recruit and assist the entrepreneurs who will benefit the programme. This call will therefore support actions for organisations enhancing and facilitating the mobility of new entrepreneurs, and is not intended for entrepreneurs willing to participate in the programme. Proposals need to be submitted by public or private entities, in partnerships composed of at least 5 entities from at least 4 different Participating Countries. Participation of a partner in more than one proposal is excluded. The Intermediary Organisations (IOs) will be required to cooperate with all other organisations and authorities involved in the mobility programme. They will receive support from the existing Support Office (SO), which helps with the coordination and management of the programme across Participating Countries.

Statistics for Family BusinessesThe aim of this call is to provide policy-makers and relevant stakeholders for credible, comparable and systematic information and indicators on the role of the family businesses in national economies and to offer usable and practical information to stakeholders for their decision making. The projects selected should also support the development of statistics for the first time in countries which have not collected yet this information. The European Commission will co-finance actions carried out by national statistical offices, or by other organisations but in cooperation, collaboration or partnership with a national (federal or regional) statistical office, for the collection of statistical data, measuring the performance of each group of family owned enterprises within the economy, the value of the goods and services produced, the employment generated, evaluation the sector in terms of its contribution to GDP, jobs, capital investment and tax revenues, its role in the balance of payment and other information. The expected results are the deliveries of methodological reports for collection of statistical data on family business within the national economies.
