The “Triple Helix Conference on Bio-Based Economy” is one of the major events of the Danube-INCO.NET project.
Its main objective is to support the government-industry-academia cooperation (triple-helix model) to enhance the establishment and development of bio-based economy partnerships in the target countries on micro-regional level, tackling societal challenges in the field of food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, water research, bio-economy and bio-based energy.
Target groups of the conference are interested participants from the academia, government and businesses across the Danube Region. The aim is to gather all relevant actors working in the identified societal challenges and support them in networking and establishing long-term dialogue among them.
The conference will envisage a plenary round table and three parallel sessions (on food, environmental technologies and bio-based energy) during the first day, while a brokerage event to facilitate matchmaking between researchers, entrepreneurs and government will be organised in the morning of day 2. It will be a unique possibility to link up participants with a special view of finding partners for upcoming calls.
Back to back with the conference the 4th Clustering Workshop will be organized, aiming at the formation of new knowledge clusters with particular focus on linking challenge-oriented bio-based economy research, innovation network, industry and government.
