The Open Science and Open Data for Innovation Session at the ICT2015 conference in Lisbon will explore how we can handle and benefit from the current explosion of data and its availability, as well as the increasingly open access to research and public data.

The ICT 2015 event offers many possibilities to become familiar with the FET-supported research, to learn and explore the latest R&D achievements, and be informed about funding opportunities. It is also a great opportunity for students, young researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs to participate in networking events, discuss topics of interest with stakeholders and actively contribute to debates.

The draft version of the FET Horizon 2020 work programme for 2016-2017 is being made public just before its adoption process to provide potential participants with its currently expected main lines. This document is not yet endorsed by the Commission and does not in any way prejudge the final decision of the Commission. Other draft H2020 work programmes are also available.

From 22-26 June, more than 600 participants (scientists, students, representatives of industrial companies) attended the Graphene Week conference in Manchester (UK). A participatory workshop on Quantum Technologies and Industry was held in Brussels on 6 May 2015. The aim was to identify what could be the markets for quantum technologies, and how these could be industrialised. The workshop report summarises the discussions and the action plan which emerged as a conclusion.
